2024-2025 FAFSa updates
Newly Admitted Students
Newly admitted students should by April 15th, 2024 so they have sufficient time to review their financial aid award prior to the June 1st, 2024 deposit deadline.
While we will continue reviewing students for financial aid throughout the SA国际传媒, we encourage you to file the FAFSA today, so you can make an informed decision about your academic future.
Financial Aid awards can be accessed through as soon as they are posted. You will receive an email and text notification letting you know when you鈥檙e able to view the award online. A copy of your award will be mailed to your house at a later date as well.
We encourage you to should you need guidance on creating your StudentAid.Gov (FSA ID) account and successfully completing the FAFSA. Additionally, you can on our Admissions site or .
Current Students
Current SA国际传媒 Peter鈥檚 students who previously received state and federal financial aid (i.e. and ) must by the May 15th, 2024 state deadline. Students who do not file a FAFSA by this deadline will lose their TAG eligibility for the 2024-2025 award year.
The new 2024-2025 FAFSA is much shorter, but there are several changes from when you filled it out in prior years. This year, you and your contributors (i.e., your parents or guardians) will need to create your own separate FSA IDs. In order to meet the May 15th, 2024 New Jersey state aid deadline, you will need to create your FSA IDs a week prior to the deadline, as it takes 3-5 days for your information to be matched by the Social Security Administration.
We encourage you to , should you need guidance on creating your StudentAid.Gov (FSA ID) account, and successfully completing the FAFSA. Additionally, you can schedule an appointment with your financial aid counselor in your EAB Navigate app.
Current students who made a mistake on their FAFSA or received an听error on their FAFSA submission summary (i.e. missing student or听parent signatures, missing consent for IRS tax transcript retrieval, or听accidentally filing as an independent student, etc.) can now make听corrections by and going to听鈥淢y Activity.鈥

TYPES OF FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid comes in a variety of forms including institutional awards, government grants, external scholarships, loans, and work-study:
Institutional Awards:听SA国际传媒 Peter’s University offers generous academic, incentive and need-based grants to incoming freshmen and transfer students based on previous scholastic achievement, potential for success, and demonstrated family need.
Government Grants:听These are awards that do not need to be repaid.听Federal grant听programs include PELL and SEOG. A variety of New Jersey State grant programs include the Tuition Aid Grant, Distinguished/Urban Scholar Program and EOF Grants.
External SA国际传媒hips:听The Financial Aid website provides link to a variety of听outside scholarships听funded by private foundations and agencies. We encourage students to explore these and other external sources of aid, including funding from organizations in your local community.
Loans:听Investing in your college education through educational听loans听is an excellent way to afford a college education. Students and parents are encouraged to explore the wide variety of federal, state, and private loan programs that can be used to supplement grant programs and make a private education an affordable choice.
Work-study:听Part-time campus employment allows students to earn money to help with college expenses. Both institutional and federal听work-study听are available.
Payment Arrangements:听In addition to the variety of financial aid programs, SA国际传媒 Peter’s University Bursar’s Office provides special听Payment Arrangements听for families, including installment and credit card plans.
HOW MUCH WILL COLLEGE REALLY COST?
It is important to review the estimated cost of attendance to better understand the expenses you can expect to encounter throughout your studies. Then you’re going to want to use the very popular Net Price Calculator to factor in scholarships and aid. We are pleased to provide these tools to assist you in your college search.
Cost of Attendance
College expenses听can be categorized into direct costs (charged directly by the institution such as tuition, fees, room and board) and indirect costs (travel, books, personal expenses, etc.). Both types of expenses are used to calculate student eligibility for financial aid. The amount of money needed to attend college is the college budget. If the college budget is greater than a student’s family contribution, the difference is that student’s financial need.
Net Price Calculator
Let鈥檚听听to determine the amount you are likely to pay if you were to attend SA国际传媒 Peter’s University. It will be helpful to have your parents’ financial records in hand when you complete the calculator, and to know your GPA and test scores. It generally takes about 10 minutes to answer all of the questions.
File for Financial Aid
To apply for financial aid, students must file the听. By filing the FAFSA you will be considered for federal, state and SA国际传媒 Peter鈥檚 financial aid including scholarships, loans, need-based grants, and work-study funds. Students should write in 鈥淭itle IV听Code 002638听SA国际传媒 Peter鈥檚 University, 2641 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ鈥 in the appropriate section of the FAFSA. The FAFSA should be completed online at听.
Incoming freshmen and transfers are urged to complete it as soon as possible, but听no later than March 15th听in order to receive a complete financial aid package in early April. For renewal Tuition Aid Grant students, the FAFSA needs to be processed by June 1 prior to the beginning of the Fall term.

GATEWAY TUITION PROGRAM
Our Gateway Tuition Program is designed to provide students with a ZERO tuition experience (tuition, comprehensive fees, and new student orientation fee). If your family鈥檚 adjusted gross income is $65,000 or less (as calculated from the FAFSA) you could qualify for the program.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In addition to the information in the academic catalog, several other brochures in the SA国际传媒 Peter’s University Financial Aid Office contain pertinent financial aid information, including federal, state, and institutional assistance. Students have the right to obtain such information. Students also have the right to appeal financial aid awards by writing to the SA国际传媒hip Appeals Committee through the Director of Student Financial Aid. Students receiving financial assistance must be in good standing and must maintain satisfactory progress in their course of study.
Students who have been awarded academically based scholarships are expected to maintain superior academic standing. Students who do not achieve scholarship-level performance may forfeit their awards.
Students should contact the听Student Financial Aid Office听for additional information regarding the University’s refund and repayment policy, award packaging policy, satisfactory academic progress, rights and responsibilities of student aid recipients, or any terms and conditions regarding financial aid awards.
For incoming students at time of enrollment: All award packages must conform to current SA国际传媒 Peter’s University scholarship and听Financial Aid policies. SA国际传媒 Peter’s University scholarships are awarded in partnership with state, federal and private grant programs, and part of any scholarship offer could be funded through other sources. Although the University’s portion of your award may be adjusted to conform to such policies, the total amount of your grant assistance from all sources will be equal to or greater than the amount listed in your original scholarship letter.
